Sales 101-1

January 12th, 2010 by gforce14

Period Two.

We are going to talk a little today about stumbling blocks that every salesperson has. I don’t care who you are all the way up to The Donald himself, I’m sure you will encounter these mental roadblocks during your course thru life. We will start with one that even after 25 years in the sales game, I still have pop up on my radar screen.

Fear of rejection.

If you recall last week, all people are motivated in some way by fear, the question is how do you use that as a positive force? Ask yourself the question “What is the worst thing that can happen?” Your prospect is going to say “No”. That’s it, not like they are going to kill you and roast you for Sunday Brunch, with a nice Mimosa…. No, powerful word, it hurts when someone says no to you, agreed, the question then becomes why are they saying no?? They don’t like the color of your shirt? Doubt it. You remind them of an ex? Doubt it too, but possible. Good god, did you see him he looked just like my third cousins ex-husband, that idiot.

What they are saying no to is your concept or your product. Is it a good product or concept that many other people have bought? I don’t know about you, but it has to be for me to sell it. So, we have a good product that we believe in, the concept works, the products are good. Back to that fear, I have a newsflash the best thing to do when someone has said NO for the third and final time (more on the three no rule later) is say what the barber does, “NEXT”.

Sales is a numbers game, fact of the matter is that life in general is a numbers game. How many different people in your life did you date before or after you got married, numbers game. If you are going to succeed at anything you must run the numbers, with an understanding that 80% (or more)of everyone is going to tell you no. Whatever the reason it is not you personally, remember that, and take on each day of cold calling with that attitude in mind.

My favorite analogy for the right way to think about sales calls is a shiny new deck of cards being handed to you every morning. Crack the seal, shuffle ‘em up, and they will be in a different order every day. 2 Jokers, 4 aces, 12 Jacks, Queens, and Kings, and the rest are 2’s thru 10’s. Start turning them over one by one the 2-10 category are people that are going to say no right out of the gate, next. Jacks, Queens , and Kings are going to listen to what you have to say, and come up with a good excuse as to why they aren’t going to buy either. I would but my Grandmother’s dog is going to have puppies next month and it just doesn’t work for me. (You laugh, somebody told me that once as their reason for not buying long story…..

Aces are your bread and butter, and there are four of them in every deck. Pitch goes great, warm-up works like a charm, couple of small objections, boom check in pocket. Feels great right, not thinking about all the people that have told you no anymore are ya? I once pitched the same guy in the same house, three times in one day, cause I forgot the house and the face, numbers game. (Footnote: I remembered him the third time when he opened the door. oooof, only thing I could say was, *laughing* Well, change your mind yet?)

Jokers, are elusive little creatures, can’t find them every single day but when you turn one over, go baby go. They’ll buy everything you have, sometimes two or three of each, they’ll tell you 20 of their friends to go see, they’ll make you dinner and get your dog groomed for you. Alright I made the last two up, but you get the point, run the numbers, turn your cards over every day and I guarantee your success. For those of you that say there are no silly questions, if you are in a vehicle traveling at the speed of light and you turn the lights on What Happens? Stay Tuned……….

Making Things Happen

January 7th, 2010 by gforce14
In our ongoing series concerning the habits of successful people, I have identified three basic types of people in the universe.

  • Those that make things happen,
  • Those that watch things happen,
  • Those that are not quite sure what happened.

So Today’s first question is which one are you? I am hoping avid reader that you are the type of person that makes thing happen. If you fall into one of the other two categories, Houston we have a problem.

Again, as I have been saying all week, this sounds pretty simple right? Not always, it is very easy to slip into one of the other two categories, and you may not even realize that you have.

Have you been at the same boring job for years?

When was the last time that you did something that you would say is a little crazy?

When was the last time you tried something new?

If you answered yes, I don’t know & I don’t know, you may have slipped into the category of someone who is watching things happen.
Why?
We only get one chance at this life as far as I know,( no offense to any of my Buddhist readers out there) so why not live life that way? Go Take a dance lesson, sky-dive, go back to school, do something NEW, something different to get yourself out of the deep rut that you are stuck in. I can guarantee you in your later life years, you are not going to remember a random Tuesday sitting behind you desk, that is the same as the last Tuesday was, and the one before that. Jump out of an airplane, and you’ll remember it forever……
I guess that I am talking about have a passion for everything that you do if you want to succeed. If you bring everything you have to everything that you do, everyday, you will win.

Moving on, are you not quite sure of what happened? Again I would like to know why? I am going to site a personal example here. Up until somewhere around my 36/37th birthday, I had a 32″ waist and weighed 185 pounds. Well, I looked up a 42 and I had a 38″ waist and weighed 245 pounds. I remember saying to my wife, WHAT HAPPENED?? I really didn’t know, I wanted to chalk it up to getting older, I tried to find every excuse that I could for what happened. The reality of what happened is again simple. I stopped paying attention to my body. I took me stepping out of the shower and looking at the fat guy in the mirror one random Tuesday, to make me really wake up.

What Happened I again asked myself, then it hit me. Who cares what happened when I wasn’t looking, the question was what was I going to do about it. Life does sometimes just happen when you stop paying attention, and for awhile I was one of the people that was not quite sure what happened. My 43rd birthday is coming up and what I did about what happened, was to join the Trump Network, make a plan and then work my plan, the fat guy in the mirror weighed 212 pounds this am. Life is a journey, not a destination my friends so go out and make something happen today.

What Motivates You??

January 6th, 2010 by gforce14

Today, we are going to continue talking about things that successful people do and behaviors they display. I have spent quite some time coming up with this theory (little over 20 years to be exact). So here goes.

THERE ARE ONLY FIVE THINGS THAT MOTIVATE PEOPLE, THEY ARE LOVE, MONEY, PRIDE, FEAR AND COMPETETION.

Take a minute and try to come up with something that motivates you that will not fit into one of those categories, I dare ya!!!

The next question then becomes what order do you place those things in? Everyone places them in a different order and to achieve your highest level of success, you need to take a step back and evaluate the order of these five motivators. I’ll give you some insight into my personal order and after you are done reading, think about your personal order, then place individual motivators under each category.

After you begin to understand what your personal motivators are, you can create a plan that reminds you every day what motivates you and what you are working so hard for. If you can, I highly recommend setting four to five types of goals for the things in your individual categories. They are “now goals” , “this week”, “this month”, “this year” and my favorite is “all the money in the world goal”

I don’t mean that I want all the money in the world, I mean write a sentence down on your goals sheet that starts with “If I had all the money if the world I would do or buy______________ .” My personal one reads, “If I had all the money in the world I would take a 3 month trip to Australia and swim the Great Barrier.” I also have several pictures in my home that I use to remind myself daily of what my goals are. Visual images in your workplace or your home are very powerful reminders that will help you stay on the track to success. Look at your goals everyday and reward yourself when you achieve one of them, especially if it is a longer term goal that you have been working towards.

If you are not happy with your current situation in any of these categories, do something today to change that. I am not talking about re-constructing your entire life, but if you remember from yesterdays blog, Plan your work, then work your Plan. Any step, no matter how small that heads you down the path to your goals, is a step in the right direction.

I rank my motivators as follows:

1) Love

Love for my family, and our four-legged children. Those mornings that I just don’t feel like going to work, (yup, I have them too!!!)I look at my wife, our animals & our home, and remind myself of why hard work is so important.

2) Pride

I take great pride in everything I do, from the smallest action such as opening a door for an elderly person, to every word I write and how I do business. Take pride in everything you do and strive for your levels of perfection. Just remember don’t brag, let what you do speak for itself and be proud of what you do.

3)Money

It’s money, It comes, it goes and you get more of it…..nuff said!

4) Fear

I don’t really know what I am afraid of except maybe giant man eating spiders from outer space. Don’t get me wrong, I worry about all the same things that you do, but rather then letting fear box me in, I try to face whatever I am worried about and make a plan on how to deal with it.

5)Competetion

Simple, make a game out of everything you do, play fair, play within the rulebook and play to win.

I hope that these little tidbits of advice help you a little towards reaching your goals, and if making more money this year is one of your goals, please just take a moment and register with our site for more information on how The Trump Network can change your life.

The Hard Truth

January 5th, 2010 by gforce14

The hard cold truth is that you must be better, smarter, and faster than the next person to succeed.

Read it again, you MUST be better, smarter and faster than the next person to succeed. Sounds harsh right? I am willing to bet if you read that sentence to anyone who has ever enjoyed any level of success, they would agree. So the question is what are you doing to make yourself better, smarter, and faster?
Here’s my Top Ten Tips to become the person that you have always wanted to be.
10) Take time for yourself.

If you do nothing but work, worry, and stress out you will lose focus. Read a book, see your favorite movie, go for a walk on the beach, whatever you love and have a passion for.
9) Never be negative.

If you let the negative things dominate your life you will miss out on the things that you should really focus on, there is always one positive thing to be found no matter what the situation is.
8) Measure Twice, Cut Once.
I am sure that you have heard that old adage. Any time you are faced with a difficult decision take some time to really think about it, don’t rush blindly into anything that you do. Measure your decisions twice and then make them.
7) Surround yourself with like minded people.
There is a famous quote floating around out there that read something along the lines of “The secret to my success is to surround myself with people that are very good at their jobs and then let them do their jobs” I am sure I am miss-quoting but the gist is that once you have your goals in place and you know what you want to achieve, find people that are thinking like you and want to help.
6) Learn Something Everyday
I don’t care if you learn the airspeed of a African Swallow laden with a coconut, (ref Monty Python) or you learn how to build your own airplane. Learn something, Ray Crock of McDonald’s was quoted many years ago “If you are green, your growing, if you’re ripe you rot” Be green, keep your mind alive and growing every day.
5) Plan your work, then work you’re plan.
Sounds simple right? I have talked to hundreds of people and when I ask them what the plan is I get a blank stare. They say I want to do _________, or I need to do ________. Okay so how are you going to do it? My dearly departed Grandmother used to tell me as a child “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.” When you make your wish, whatever it is, make a step by step plan of how you are going to achieve that wish. Once you have the plan, run with it.
4) Dream Big.
The only way to get big is to think big and the only way to get what you want is to ask for it. Again, both of those things sound simple, but most people, don’t know how to ask for what they want. Last time I checked, I did not know any mind readers. Never be afraid to ask for anything, and remember the absolute worst thing that can happen is that the person says “no”.
3) Think Quickly and Speak Slowly.
I have always believed that it is not what you say to someone, but rather how you say it to that person that makes the difference. I believe that you can say anything to anyone as long as it is said correctly. Choose your words carefully and if you do offend or hurt someone by the wrong choice of words don’t be afraid to apologize to that person.
2) Listen
God gave us two ears and one mouth. If you listen twice as much as you talk, I have found that you will go much farther. Knowledge is power and to get knowledge, you must listen. Then reference #3
And the number one thing to be better.
1) Have Fun
Laugh, have passion for what you are doing, make a game of the hard things. Work like you don’t need the money, love like you have never been hurt, and sing like nobody can hear you. I know I am being clichey here but those old clichés are around for a reason. If you have fun every day, at everything you do you will win.

We here at Concorde want you to know that these are some of the things that you get when you join our winning team. Leadership, guidance, experience. You get a people that want to see you succeed. Why, because when you succeed, we succeed and everyone wins. The question is what are you waiting for? The Trump Network can help you be that better person that you always wanted to be, and we have the plan to do it. Register today for more information.

Who should I contact?

November 3rd, 2009 by Christian Green

On September 20, 2009, I joined the Automatic Wealth Team for the Trump Network.  I tell everyone I see and know about this wonderful opportunity.   The way I see it, if someone I knew about this and was too shy or embarrassed to tell me about it, I would be so upset!  I tell them briefly and if I don’t see the magic in their eyes…I move on! Its that simple.  I give my email contacts the chance a couple of times with several different email templates provided by the AWT and some respond immediately wanting more info, some ask to join, and some don’t read it!  I feel really confident that the few friends and family that were interested but haven’t joined will tell me that I should have forced them to do the Trump Network!

I am having the time of my life telling others about this awesome opportunity!

Introduction to Affiliate Marketing

July 8th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

The Rewards of Affiliate Marketing

Rewarding one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the marketing efforts of each affiliate, the Internet-based marketing practice known as “affiliate marketing” is a good way to create multiple streams of income. Many consider it the easiest way to make money online. You don’t have to develop your own product or writing sales letters that actually sell your product. Proven products and proven sales copy are two of the advantages of affiliate marketing, not to mention no employees to manage and no inventory to maintain.

Affiliate marketing may involve a number of different types of companies and individuals working in tandem. Affiliate networks, affiliate management companies and in-house affiliate managers along with specialized third party vendors and various types of affiliates/publishers promoting the products and services of their partners may be part of an affiliate marketing network.

Generally, you register for free with a free affiliate program, grab your affiliate tracking link and promote your affiliate link to get traffic. You are paid a commission whenever someone buys through your link.

Organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing and sometimes display advertising are some of the marketing methods used, so affiliate marketing does have some overlap with other Internet marketing strategies.

Building Relationships for Success

Building relationships is key to the success of affiliate marketing. By providing quality information and resources, you build trust. In turn, your affiliate recommendations will be purchased by your subscribers. This leads to a profitable long-term affiliate business. The better your recommendations, the better relationships you will have with your subscribers. Bad recommendations, though, can undermine any affiliate marketing plan.

First introduced in 1994, affiliate marketing has grown quickly. The most active sectors for affiliate marketing are the adult, gambling and retail industries. But the areas expected to have the greatest growth are mobile phones, finance and travel sectors. Amazon.com, which launched its associate program in 1986, was the first affiliate program to become widely known, serving as the model for subsequent programs.

Among the affiliate programs you’ll want to be familiar with are Get Response & Aweber, both email autoresponder services; The Renegade System, MLM Lead System Pro and MLM Online MasterMind Secrets, systems that offer a wealth of training on attraction marketing & internet marketing; Clickbank, where you can find many affiliate opportunities; as well as eBooks such as Magnetic Sponsoring, Attraction Marketing Blueprint, and The Renegade Network Marketer.

Top Reasons Why Most People Fail at Business – How to Avoid Being a Statistic in Business Failure

July 7th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

If I had to rely on the old way of drumming up business, I would be 89 years old at Wal-Mart with a big yellow smiley face on my blue vest!  I remember the first time someone came to me with the idea of network marketing.  I went to a business meeting and saw the 5 circles drawn underneath my name that represented the 5 people I had to get into my business.  The only thing that I needed to do was find 5 friends who I wanted to invite into my business, and when they each had 5 circles under their name too, we’d all be millionaires!  I was walking on air as I exited the hotel meeting room.  Never mind the other 3 people who were rolling their eyes through the presentation.  I had the vision!

The next day I went to work and I complimented a colleague of mine.  (Step one in building rapport done!)  Then I asked her for a favor if we could talk when I wasn’t “on my way to a meeting” (I’ve got this thing down!  Step two…be busy.  Check!)  I didn’t give her an option to say no (exactly like the script said).  I had it nailed!  It sounded a little something like this:

“Hey Julie!  You know, I really admire the way you do business.  You’re a super sales-woman!  I’m on my way to an important meeting, but I was hoping you could help me with something a little later on.  Does tonight work or should I call you tomorrow?”  The words flowed effortlessly from my mouth since I had rehearsed the candid speech all the way to work in my car.  When she squinted her eyes at me and asked me if I was about to sell her something, I about fell to the floor.  That was NOT supposed to happen!  I froze in my tracks, scanning my mind for the script.  This definitely was not in there anywhere!

It actually amazes me that people still teach this technique for marketing a business opportunity.  First of all, if anyone has ever been remotely interested in network marketing, they are already keen on the approach.  The “compliment approach” is way overdone and completely insincere.  And how about the poor soul that it did work on?  Once they were taught how to use the “compliment approach”, they would soon realize they were duped.

With intenet marketing systems in place, this old way is history.  Millions upon millions of people are miserable in their current situation and are actually online looking for a way out.  Why in Heaven’s name would you try to convince someone to take a look at your business, when you could have an unlimited number of people from all corners of the country begging you for more information?

I’ll tell you exactly why.  Excuses.  If you’ve used any of the following excuses, it’s time to change your way of thinking.  (Otherwise, you may find yourself working in Wal-Mart after retirement.  Or worse, complimenting the person ahead of you in the grocery line right before you ask them for a favor.)

Excuse #1- It’s too expensive:  It is true that internet marketing can cost money.  And if you don’t know how to do it correctly, it can cost you a lot of unnecessary dollars.  But the truth is, most internet marketing can be done at low cost or no cost.  Internet marketing has allowed the little guy to compete with large corporations.  Search engines look for useful information and rewards these people with free front-page exposure.  This is a big deal because now everyone has a chance to make a name for themselves.  And it all starts by giving information.  What a concept!

Excuse #2- I’m not a techie:  Did you know how to tie your shoes or drive a car before you learned?  The obvious answer is no.  You didn’t know how to do anything before you actually learned.  You couldn’t read this article, type a response, or turn off your computer until you first learned.  This is actually the worst excuse because it is ONLY an excuse.  The only way to overcome this excuse is to sit down and learn.  There are plenty of intenet marketing systems online today that will teach you simple strategies in gaining exposure online.

Excuse #3- It’s impersonal:  I’ll admit, when people started communicating via text more than calling, I thought it was a bit impersonal too.  I even remember trying to adjust the first time a guy asked me out on a date through text.  (I still object to a text date proposal.  But I’m digressing a bit.)  The fact is, times have changed.  Email communication, text conversations, and instant messaging has become the norm.  Internet marketing, including social media, is the wave of the future.  If you don’t use it, you’ll be left behind.

Learning internet marketing can last a lifetime without direction.  The Renegade Marketing System is an internet marketing system that will teach you how to market your business online simply and easily.  Get your FREE Attraction Marketer’s Manfesto here: http://AWT.marketersmanifesto.com

How to Avoid Burnout and Find Success in MLM

July 7th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

Has network marketing left a bad taste in your mouth?  More likely than not, when you hear the words MLM or network marketing, you head straight for the first door you see.  Sure, some lucky people somehow make it happen right out of the gate.  But the mass majority of us will likely stumble upon some pretty rough road blocks along the way.  If you’ve sworn you’d never try network marketing, (or never try network marketing again) read on.  What you are about to hear is going to change the way you view network marketing and MLM forever.

The Old School Of Network Marketing

Amazingly enough, most people in network marketing are working way too hard instead of working smart.  It blows my mind that people are still dressing up in business suits and attending meetings at hotels and coffee and shops.  They are also personally training each person in their downline.  What a waste of time!  One reason people are drawn to network marketing is the time freedom everyone claims it provides.  But the way I see it, this process is just as time consuming as working a corporate job.  As your business grows, so does your commitment to be away from home.

Network Marketing- The New School Way

If you catch me at my home office on a typical day, I’ll be wearing yoga pants and no makeup besides mascara.  I retired my business suits the same day I retired my job.  The mere thought of hotel meetings make me nauseous.  Yet I have hundreds of people on my team who are able to duplicate exactly what I do and multiply their business without any of the old school practices.

Internet Marketing vs. Warm Market Leads

You know that sinking feeling you used to get in your stomach before you made your first cold call?  It was the same sinking feeling you experienced when you told someone your rehearsed speech to the question, “What do you do?”  You can forget the elevator speech and throw your list of 100 top prospects out the window. Why should you lose friends over trying to convince them to check out your business?  Millions of people are searching for exactly what you have online every single day.  Internet marketing is the wave of the future.  There are an unlimited number of ways to attract hot prospects to you.

Leveraging Your Time

So you tried this whole network marketing thing for a while.  You attended the training meetings long enough that they asked you to start sharing every week.  Once a week turns into training two times per week.  Before you know it, your “time freedom” is actually a trap door.  The trick is to plug into a team that conducts training over the internet.  Webinar trainings can be held anytime, anywhere.  Hundreds of people from California to New York can all be on the same call, in the comfort of home.  And should someone miss a call, there’s no reason to worry!  Recording training calls is as easy as 1-2-3!  These calls can be archived and accessed by anyone at a later time or date.

Network Duplication

Duplicating the success of others is the fastest way to achieve great results.  Isaac Newton had it right when he said, “If I have seen further, it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants”.  Find out what works for other people in the industry and follow what they do.  The network marketing industry has been around for longer than you may know.  Many things have changed with the time, so stay up to date with strategies that work the best right now.  Practice and an open mind will lead you to absolute success.
