Time Efficiency in Network Marketing- Are You Spending Your Time or Investing?

July 28th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

No matter which way you slice it, there are only two things you can do with time.  You can spend it, or you can invest it.  If you spend your time on watching TV or playing video games, that time is lost forever.  But investing your time in income producing activities will prove to make you a fortune.

How much would you like to earn this year?  $60k?  $100k?  $250k?  Let’s assume you want to earn $250k in one year.  Figuring in a 2 week vacation, you have 50 weeks a year to make that happen.  By working a 40 hour week, your time is worth $125 an hour.  Think about this long and hard next time you spend your time on something that won’t pay you in the future.  Do you watch TV to unwind?  The average American watches 4 hours of TV each and every day!  That figure would go down significantly if people realized it was costing $500 per day.  Is this happening to you?  Are you investing your time or spending it?

The Network Marketing Hamster Wheel

Most network marketers have goals of quitting their day job and eventually working their business from home full time.  The promises of time freedom call to them and they work grueling hours to ensure one day they don’t have to report to a boss.  But when that day comes, there is a sad realization that their network marketing business has become a new ball and chain.  Training each team member, managing communication with the team, and travel to and from meetings quickly ad up to a full time gig.  So much for time freedom!

The majority of tasks occupying a network marketer is not income producing, at least initially.  Sure, it’s all part of building your team.  But marketing is really the foundation of building wealth.  It’s the only thing that will prove to put money into your pocket immediately.

So next time you’re crunching numbers and setting goals, ask yourself how much your time would be worth if you were making the money you know you deserve.  Then get into the habit of behaving “as if”.  Do you really want to do this alone?  Or do you value your time enough to plug into a system so you can truly invest your time?

Our weekly training calls, ongoing email communication, and online webinars eliminate your need to spend worthless hours spinning your wheels. MLM Home Business Success- Tips on Building a Successful MLM Home Business

July 10th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

Statically, your chances are extremely slim in making a home business be a long term success.  Ouch!  I know…That’s not exactly what I call encouraging.  But notice I said “statistically”.  Here’s the deal though…most people approach their business like they approach the other aspects of life.  With little planning and often no direction.  Actually, most people spend more time charting out their summer vacation than they do a 5-year life plan.  They hire a travel agent, pay big bucks to make sure they have the best accommodations, and spend tons of time arranging the perfect flight.  But their business plan gets little to no attention at all.  So it’s no wonder they fail.  But you don’t have to be a statistic.  And to cheer you up a bit after that smack of bad news, I’ll tell you this; it’s really not that hard or complicated.  Actually, anyone can do it.  It just takes a little change of mind.

Dogged Determination To Succeed In MLM

The first thing that you absolutely must adopt is the mindset for success.  Go into your new business with dogged determination that nothing will stand in your way.  Failure is not an option.  The first thing you’ve got to know is that building a business takes time, energy, and effort.  You will work for a long time before you start seeing substantial rewards monetarily.  That’s just the way it goes.  It works that way with every business, and building an MLM business is no different.  If you have false expectations of striking it rich overnight, you’ll be very frustrated and more than likely you’ll quit before giving it a fair shot.

Also realize that everything you try is not going to work originally.  You’ll have to test out many strategies to find something that works for you.  This is just part of the process.  Make learning fun and acknowledge the successes you have, no matter how big or small.  Small steps add up to some pretty big leaps in the long-run.

Map Out Your Plan

Let’s go back on vacation again.  Remember all the plans we made and the time we spent on the details of where we were going?  Well once we actually plant foot at our destination, we need a map to direct us from there.  This is uncharted territory!  When you’re in a foreign place, you need a map that will tell you exactly where to go.  Once you find the MLM you will represent, you need to map out your plan.  That way, if you’re off track, you’ll find your way back a lot easier.  And when you’re on track, you’ll know.  It seems almost elementary, doesn’t it?  Yet, very few people know where they what to go or where they’re heading in their business.  The last thing you want to do is start running around in circles.  So draw out where you plan on going, and then stick to it.

Follow the Leader

One of the greatest things about MLM is that you’re never alone in your business.  There is always someone who has been where you’re headed.  And they can provide direction to shorten the learning curve.  Find someone who is already successful doing what you want to do.  If there’s no one in your business who you feel could teach you, you can always hire a business coach.  Your coach will also hold you accountable for your goals, which is an added bonus.

Daily “To Do” tasks

Turning those small steps into leaps happens one day at a time.  Before you go to sleep at night, make a list of things you must accomplish the following day.  List you tasks in order from most important to least important.  We all have those bugger tasks that we need to get done but always make excuses for.  Get those out of the way first and you will feel fantastic for the rest of the day.  Also, give yourself just enough so that you’ll accomplish each of your task daily.  You want your list clear for new things the next day.

Building a business does take time, and it does take dedication.  If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.  Although it’s not always easy, it’s usually very simple.  Stay on track and stay the course.  I promise you, it is well worth it.

The Power of Attraction Marketing

July 8th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

The Power of Attraction Marketing

Cold calling is no one’s idea of fun – not for the marketer, nor for the potential customer. But cold-calling as well as advertising and prospecting have been the traditional methods for generating orders for business. Generally, these methods tend to put prospects on the defensive, wary of the hard sell. But the Internet has made possible ways of marketing that concentrate on the people you serve. The key is to entice, rather than to pressure. Attraction marketing puts the fun back into the shopping experience for both seller and buyer.

Solving the customer’s problems should be the focus of attraction marketing. Content that you’ve created for Web sites or from the social networking sites you’ve visited enable your customers to find you. Think of generously sprinkling your self across the Internet like a gardener planting seeds, from which you hope will spring traffic. Your prospects make the first move; they are coming to you for your unique services and ideas. No longer do you have to do the cold calling or set up hotel meetings.

The Charm of Attraction Marketing

Using the charms of attraction marketing, you can brand yourself as a leader, who is unique in your field. Based on convincing consumers to buy largely homogeneous products produced in high volume by the traditional mass-production factory system, mass marketing is failing because now consumers want just the opposite – they desire products unique to their tastes and needs.

Identifying your company’s key features and the benefits to be derived from utilizing your goods or services is the goal of attraction marketing, especially the information you have to share. You can share books, articles, live events or recorded trainings in exchange for regularly putting your offers in front of your prospects by using auto-email – the newest form of how advertising works on TV and radio. You give your customers something they value and they let you communicate with them continually.

Historically, most marketing has supported one-time sales. Using promotional tricks that deceive customers can only work once. In the age of the Internet and global competitors, the limits of any market are now surprisingly constrained since competition is more intense world wide. Attraction marketing encourages holding on to current customers. The new task of marketing communications is to represent the company in forming an enduring relationship with the customer, so as to determine the customer’s changing needs before, during and after the purchase.

Through attraction marketing, you build relationships with your customers by answering their questions and solving their problems. Providing solutions to their problems shows you to be knowledgeable and helpful. When you become an expert in the eyes of your customers, you don’t have to chase them down, or fool them, to make them want to use your products and services. As your customer base grows, you’ll find that most of your customers already know you and are aware of your business before they ever speak directly to you.

Article Marketing Made Easy

July 8th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

Providing publishers with essentially free content and advertisers with effectively free advertising is the role of online article marketing. You can attract new clients as well as increase your business’ credibility by releasing content articles for free distribution. Information for contacting the business or author originating the article is contained in a bio box and byline.

Historically, professionals have been providing article marketing for publication as long as mass print media has been around. A newspaper, say, would print the business’ contact information with an article provided by a local business to the paper free of charge. This arrangement worked because newspapers and other traditional media are expected to provide a variety of content at low cost.

For writers, article marketing can increase your exposure by reproducing your content around the Internet. If you are struggling to keep a regular email newsletter going or need to fill out a blog, website or any type of publication, article marketing is a source of cheap content.

EzineArticles.com is the market leader, which allows writers to publish articles that include a special area at the end called a resource box. Writers can supply a link or two along with a couple of sentences in the resource box. The article can be reprinted by other webmasters and publishers on their websites, newsletters or blogs, provided they keep the resource box intact.

Posting your articles

Authors post articles on a website known as an “article directory.” Directory owners’ generate income by selling advertising on each article page, which makes it possible for the author to post an article without cost. The more articles posted, the more gains the directory site has in search engine popularity. The title of an article often has the most impact on how often an article is read.

Besides EzineArticles.com, other popular sites for article marketing include Isnare.com, Zongoo.com, BusinessKnowHow.com, Amazines.com, IdeaMarketers.com and ArticleFinders.com. There are also submission services that will submit your article to multiple article directories for a fee, such as ArticleMarketer.com.

Short articles in the 350 to 600 word range generally generate the most traffic. People with short attention spans, especially when reading on a computer screen, prefer short, easily absorbed tidbits rather than in-depth, detailed articles. Statistics show that short articles will get you more exposure and more traffic.

But quality content will do more for your credibility than sloppy writing and research. Also, there are penalties for duplicate content, so you have to be careful about posting your articles on more than one site. The way around this is to modify your article when submitting to different Web sites so it is not exactly the same each place it can be accessed.

Article marketing can be time consuming in the beginning, but gradually you should be able to establish your reputation as an expert in your field, which will tend to make article marketing easier as you progress. Unless you are already famous or can pull off a major media stunt, article marketing may be the best way to incrementally improve your reputation and the reach of your business.

Introduction to Affiliate Marketing

July 8th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

The Rewards of Affiliate Marketing

Rewarding one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the marketing efforts of each affiliate, the Internet-based marketing practice known as “affiliate marketing” is a good way to create multiple streams of income. Many consider it the easiest way to make money online. You don’t have to develop your own product or writing sales letters that actually sell your product. Proven products and proven sales copy are two of the advantages of affiliate marketing, not to mention no employees to manage and no inventory to maintain.

Affiliate marketing may involve a number of different types of companies and individuals working in tandem. Affiliate networks, affiliate management companies and in-house affiliate managers along with specialized third party vendors and various types of affiliates/publishers promoting the products and services of their partners may be part of an affiliate marketing network.

Generally, you register for free with a free affiliate program, grab your affiliate tracking link and promote your affiliate link to get traffic. You are paid a commission whenever someone buys through your link.

Organic search engine optimization, paid search engine marketing, e-mail marketing and sometimes display advertising are some of the marketing methods used, so affiliate marketing does have some overlap with other Internet marketing strategies.

Building Relationships for Success

Building relationships is key to the success of affiliate marketing. By providing quality information and resources, you build trust. In turn, your affiliate recommendations will be purchased by your subscribers. This leads to a profitable long-term affiliate business. The better your recommendations, the better relationships you will have with your subscribers. Bad recommendations, though, can undermine any affiliate marketing plan.

First introduced in 1994, affiliate marketing has grown quickly. The most active sectors for affiliate marketing are the adult, gambling and retail industries. But the areas expected to have the greatest growth are mobile phones, finance and travel sectors. Amazon.com, which launched its associate program in 1986, was the first affiliate program to become widely known, serving as the model for subsequent programs.

Among the affiliate programs you’ll want to be familiar with are Get Response & Aweber, both email autoresponder services; The Renegade System, MLM Lead System Pro and MLM Online MasterMind Secrets, systems that offer a wealth of training on attraction marketing & internet marketing; Clickbank, where you can find many affiliate opportunities; as well as eBooks such as Magnetic Sponsoring, Attraction Marketing Blueprint, and The Renegade Network Marketer.

Top Reasons Why Most People Fail at Business – How to Avoid Being a Statistic in Business Failure

July 7th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

If I had to rely on the old way of drumming up business, I would be 89 years old at Wal-Mart with a big yellow smiley face on my blue vest!  I remember the first time someone came to me with the idea of network marketing.  I went to a business meeting and saw the 5 circles drawn underneath my name that represented the 5 people I had to get into my business.  The only thing that I needed to do was find 5 friends who I wanted to invite into my business, and when they each had 5 circles under their name too, we’d all be millionaires!  I was walking on air as I exited the hotel meeting room.  Never mind the other 3 people who were rolling their eyes through the presentation.  I had the vision!

The next day I went to work and I complimented a colleague of mine.  (Step one in building rapport done!)  Then I asked her for a favor if we could talk when I wasn’t “on my way to a meeting” (I’ve got this thing down!  Step two…be busy.  Check!)  I didn’t give her an option to say no (exactly like the script said).  I had it nailed!  It sounded a little something like this:

“Hey Julie!  You know, I really admire the way you do business.  You’re a super sales-woman!  I’m on my way to an important meeting, but I was hoping you could help me with something a little later on.  Does tonight work or should I call you tomorrow?”  The words flowed effortlessly from my mouth since I had rehearsed the candid speech all the way to work in my car.  When she squinted her eyes at me and asked me if I was about to sell her something, I about fell to the floor.  That was NOT supposed to happen!  I froze in my tracks, scanning my mind for the script.  This definitely was not in there anywhere!

It actually amazes me that people still teach this technique for marketing a business opportunity.  First of all, if anyone has ever been remotely interested in network marketing, they are already keen on the approach.  The “compliment approach” is way overdone and completely insincere.  And how about the poor soul that it did work on?  Once they were taught how to use the “compliment approach”, they would soon realize they were duped.

With intenet marketing systems in place, this old way is history.  Millions upon millions of people are miserable in their current situation and are actually online looking for a way out.  Why in Heaven’s name would you try to convince someone to take a look at your business, when you could have an unlimited number of people from all corners of the country begging you for more information?

I’ll tell you exactly why.  Excuses.  If you’ve used any of the following excuses, it’s time to change your way of thinking.  (Otherwise, you may find yourself working in Wal-Mart after retirement.  Or worse, complimenting the person ahead of you in the grocery line right before you ask them for a favor.)

Excuse #1- It’s too expensive:  It is true that internet marketing can cost money.  And if you don’t know how to do it correctly, it can cost you a lot of unnecessary dollars.  But the truth is, most internet marketing can be done at low cost or no cost.  Internet marketing has allowed the little guy to compete with large corporations.  Search engines look for useful information and rewards these people with free front-page exposure.  This is a big deal because now everyone has a chance to make a name for themselves.  And it all starts by giving information.  What a concept!

Excuse #2- I’m not a techie:  Did you know how to tie your shoes or drive a car before you learned?  The obvious answer is no.  You didn’t know how to do anything before you actually learned.  You couldn’t read this article, type a response, or turn off your computer until you first learned.  This is actually the worst excuse because it is ONLY an excuse.  The only way to overcome this excuse is to sit down and learn.  There are plenty of intenet marketing systems online today that will teach you simple strategies in gaining exposure online.

Excuse #3- It’s impersonal:  I’ll admit, when people started communicating via text more than calling, I thought it was a bit impersonal too.  I even remember trying to adjust the first time a guy asked me out on a date through text.  (I still object to a text date proposal.  But I’m digressing a bit.)  The fact is, times have changed.  Email communication, text conversations, and instant messaging has become the norm.  Internet marketing, including social media, is the wave of the future.  If you don’t use it, you’ll be left behind.

Learning internet marketing can last a lifetime without direction.  The Renegade Marketing System is an internet marketing system that will teach you how to market your business online simply and easily.  Get your FREE Attraction Marketer’s Manfesto here: http://AWT.marketersmanifesto.com

How to Avoid Burnout and Find Success in MLM

July 7th, 2009 by Lainna Dobosz

Has network marketing left a bad taste in your mouth?  More likely than not, when you hear the words MLM or network marketing, you head straight for the first door you see.  Sure, some lucky people somehow make it happen right out of the gate.  But the mass majority of us will likely stumble upon some pretty rough road blocks along the way.  If you’ve sworn you’d never try network marketing, (or never try network marketing again) read on.  What you are about to hear is going to change the way you view network marketing and MLM forever.

The Old School Of Network Marketing

Amazingly enough, most people in network marketing are working way too hard instead of working smart.  It blows my mind that people are still dressing up in business suits and attending meetings at hotels and coffee and shops.  They are also personally training each person in their downline.  What a waste of time!  One reason people are drawn to network marketing is the time freedom everyone claims it provides.  But the way I see it, this process is just as time consuming as working a corporate job.  As your business grows, so does your commitment to be away from home.

Network Marketing- The New School Way

If you catch me at my home office on a typical day, I’ll be wearing yoga pants and no makeup besides mascara.  I retired my business suits the same day I retired my job.  The mere thought of hotel meetings make me nauseous.  Yet I have hundreds of people on my team who are able to duplicate exactly what I do and multiply their business without any of the old school practices.

Internet Marketing vs. Warm Market Leads

You know that sinking feeling you used to get in your stomach before you made your first cold call?  It was the same sinking feeling you experienced when you told someone your rehearsed speech to the question, “What do you do?”  You can forget the elevator speech and throw your list of 100 top prospects out the window. Why should you lose friends over trying to convince them to check out your business?  Millions of people are searching for exactly what you have online every single day.  Internet marketing is the wave of the future.  There are an unlimited number of ways to attract hot prospects to you.

Leveraging Your Time

So you tried this whole network marketing thing for a while.  You attended the training meetings long enough that they asked you to start sharing every week.  Once a week turns into training two times per week.  Before you know it, your “time freedom” is actually a trap door.  The trick is to plug into a team that conducts training over the internet.  Webinar trainings can be held anytime, anywhere.  Hundreds of people from California to New York can all be on the same call, in the comfort of home.  And should someone miss a call, there’s no reason to worry!  Recording training calls is as easy as 1-2-3!  These calls can be archived and accessed by anyone at a later time or date.

Network Duplication

Duplicating the success of others is the fastest way to achieve great results.  Isaac Newton had it right when he said, “If I have seen further, it is only by standing on the shoulders of giants”.  Find out what works for other people in the industry and follow what they do.  The network marketing industry has been around for longer than you may know.  Many things have changed with the time, so stay up to date with strategies that work the best right now.  Practice and an open mind will lead you to absolute success.
